CARing for Kids

The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP), established in 1904, is the oldest association of its kind in the nation. The association, comprised of more than 200 franchised new car and truck dealers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, leads lobbying efforts, provides education and training seminars and owns and produces the Philadelphia International Auto Show and Black Tie Tailgate Preview Gala.

The Philadelphia International Auto Show influences nearly 40 percent of all new car registrations in the market. At the 2008 event, 90 percent of attendees reported that visiting the Auto Show influenced their decision regarding their next vehicle purchase.

In 2003, the ADAGP Board Members formalized their decades of philanthropic activities by incorporating their own charitable foundation, the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation.  This quickly developing public charity generously supports a number of child-related organizations and initiatives in the Greater Philadelphia area including: The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the leading pediatric hospitals and research facilities in the world; Kid Fit’s Road to Fitness Program, a public awareness campaign that encourages healthy lifestyles and eating habits among today’s youth; and Driving Away the Cold, a partnership with Operation Warm that focuses on providing new winter coats to unprivileged children.  For more information on the Foundation, please visit www.caringforkids.com.
