The ADAGP hosts many events throughout the year. General descriptions and information are available below. More specific information will be available on the Upcoming Events page when registration is open.
Annual Dinner Meeting
The Annual Dinner Meeting is held each November at a venue in the Greater Philadelphia area. A great night that mixes business and pleasure, special guest speakers always make the evening a memorable one. The event provides a tremendous opportunity for Dealer Members, Associate Members, sponsors and additional guests to socialize, talk business and dine.
Annual Golf Outing
Benefiting the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, the ADAGP golf outing is held each spring at a course in the Greater Philadelphia area. Dealer Members and outing sponsors are invited to spend the day on the course, while all members are welcome to attend the evening’s dinner and awards reception. There, the Dealer Member with the lowest gross score is awarded the prized President’s Cup, while the lowest net scorer wins the Foundation Cup.
CFO/Controllers 20-Group Meetings
Depending on the current business climate, dealership controllers must act as accountants, compliance cops, purchasing agents, Human Resources Managers, tax advisers, budget planners, loss prevention specialists, banking experts, estate planners, insurance advisers and more. In 2002, the ADAGP established this 20-Group so that Controllers could receive and share tips with their peers – regardless of the brands sold at their dealership – in order to make their department run as smoothly as possible. The group meets three times per year at the ADAGP facility in East Norriton. Each meeting includes an industry-related speaker, a best idea session and group discussions. The group is open to all Dealer Members and meetings are moderated by Michael Mulhearn, CPA of WithumSmith+Brown.
Fixed Ops Roundtable Meetings
The Fixed Ops Roundtable Meetings unite the Parts and Service Departments of dealerships and help provide both with a better understanding that they truly are a team. These meetings, held three times per year, are not your typical 20-Group meetings. While benchmarks, ratios and results are discussed, they are not the focus; rather the focus is on reviewing processes and ideas that can help build and improve business. Meetings are moderated by Rob Campbell, Service Analyst of WithumSmith+Brown.
