Auto Show Features An Array of 2011 Vehicles

Wednesday, January 20, 2010E. Norriton, Pa., January 20, 2010 – The Philadelphia International Auto Show will park at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Saturday, January 30 to Sunday, February 7. Across the event’s 550,000 square foot display floor, guests will be able to experience a variety of world-class automobiles, including some of the hottest production models scheduled to hit the market this year. Examples of these highly anticipated vehicles that Philadelphians will see for the first-time ever include:

2011 Audi A8
•One gasoline engine, with direct fuel injection and 372 hp
•Combined with the standard navigation system, the vehicle’s multimedia interface (MMI) has a touchpad
•MMI touch feature enables the driver to control many functions intuitively; for example, the navigation destination can be entered by writing the letters on the pad with the touch of a finger
•Pricing will be announced in Fall 2010, shortly prior to the vehicle’s U.S. dealer launch

2011 Audi R8 Spyder
•The V10 engine produces 525 hp and launches the open-top two-seater to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds
•Top speed of 194 mph
•The electrohydraulic soft top opens and closes in 19 seconds, even while driving at speeds up to 31 mph
•Can be found in U.S. showrooms this summer
•Pricing: TBA

2011 Buick Regal
•Standard 2.4L Ecotec direct injected engine rated at an estimated 182 hp (arrives in the second quarter of 2010)
•Available 2.0L Ecotec turbocharged and direct injected engine rated at an estimated 220 hp (available late summer)
•Estimated 30 mpg on the highway with the 2.4L and 29 mpg highway with the 2.0L turbo engine when both engines use an automatic transmission
•Pricing: TBA

2011 Chevrolet Cruze
•New family of efficient four-cylinder engines, including a 1.4L turbo and 1.8L
•Will be offered in LS, LT and LTZ trims
•Expected to deliver up to 40 mpg on the highway with a high-efficiency model
•Electronic stability control with rollover sensing
•Ten standard air bags including frontal, side-impact, roof rail head curtain, rear seat side air bags and new knee air bags
•Goes on sale in the U.S. in the third quarter

2011 Chevrolet Volt
•Extended Range Electric Vehicle (E-REV) that uses electricity to propel the vehicle
•GM estimates that the Volt will save 500 gallons of petroleum and 4.4 metric tons of CO2 emissions based on 40 miles daily and 15,000 miles annually
•The cost per mile to operate an E-REV like the Volt is approximately .02¢ per mile electrically versus .12¢ per mile (using petroleum priced at $3.60 per gallon)
•Start of regular production scheduled for late 2010

2011 Ford Fiesta
•Projected to deliver highway fuel economy of 40 mpg, with a responsive 1.6L DOHC I-4 engine, advanced PowerShift six-speed automatic transmission and Electric Power Assist Steering
•Offers 15 class-exclusive technologies
•Available in four- and five-door body styles
•Can be found in U.S. showrooms this summer
•Entry level price of $13,995

2011 Ford Mustang
•3.7L Duratec® 24-valve V-6 engine uses advanced engineering to deliver its power and economy
•Sends significantly more horsepower and torque (305 hp and 280 ft.-lb.) to the rear wheels than its predecessor
•Projected to deliver 30 mpg on the highway with a six-speed automatic transmission
•GT model is available with a 4.6L V-8 that produces 315 hp and 325 ft.-lb of torque; this model will get an estimated 24 mpg on the highway.
•Can be found in U.S. showrooms this spring

2011 Hyundai Equus
•Comes with a choice of two engines: the Lambda 3.8L V-6 and the 4.6L V-8
•Both engines feature all-aluminum construction, continuously variable valve timing, variable air induction systems and are mated to six-speed transmissions
•Includes seat cooling system, glove box drink chiller and a massage system in the rear seats
•Comes equipped with an Electric Parking Brake, which is automatically released once the vehicle is put into drive gear and an Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering System, which reduces fuel consumption

2011 Hyundai Sonata
•Fluidic Sculpture design
•All-new sixth generation Sonata midsize sedan
•All four-cylinder engine line-up
•Launches with new Theta II 2.4-liter gasoline direct injection engine and in-house six-speed automatic transmission
•Horsepower of 198 is standard/200 on SE trim
•Production began at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama in December with retail sales starting in January/February

2011 Kia Sorento
•First vehicle to roll off the line at Kia Motors’ manufacturing facility in West Point, Georgia
•Offers two engine choices: a 2.4L four-cylinder engine outputting 172 horsepower or a 3.5L V-6 providing 273 horsepower (both coupled to a new six-speed automatic transmission)
•Features increased head and legroom and nearly five cubic feet more in cargo capacity
•Upgrades include an available panoramic sunroof, the first on any Kia vehicle
•Can be found in showrooms this winter

2011 Lincoln MKX Crossover
•New 3.7L Duratec® V-6 engine employs several fuel-efficient strategies that also improve performance, including Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing and aggressive deceleration fuel shutoff
•Horsepower has been increased to 305 – a 15 percent increase compared with the outgoing model – while torque is up to 280 ft.-lb., marking a 12 percent improvement
•Expected highway fuel economy of 25 mpg on front-drive models
•Available mid-year
•Pricing: TBA

2011 Mazda2
•Originally launched in 2007, the new Mazda2 was first introduced in Europe, Japan and Australia
•Minimizes weight through its smaller body shell, optimization of the structure, extensive use of high-tensile shell in its body and many other weight-saving measures implemented throughout the car
•Has achieved world-leading crash safety ratings
•Specifications and pricing will be announced at a later date
•Will be available for the first time in North America this summer

2011 Toyota Sienna
•A choice of two DOHC engines will be available: a 3.5L V-6 or 2.7L four-cylinder engine
•Will come in five grades: Sienna grade, LE, SE, XLE and Limited
•Technology enhancements include a system that uses two displays side-by-side to create a seamless 16.4-inch widescreen image from a single source; when two separate entertainment options are called for, the system can split the screen into two individual screens
•Can be found in U.S. showrooms this winter
•Pricing: TBA
