OVERVIEW AUTOMOTIVE TRAINING CENTER PROGRAM

Master Certified Programs
from Automotive Training Center
The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) represents 250 new car franchised dealers throughout the Philadelphia five county area. These dealers employ 5,000 automotive, collision and diesel technicians earning an average of $54,180 per year*. In the ADAGP’s continued search for programs to benefit its members, finding qualified technicians is always a concern. The ADAGP recognized this need and forged an alliance with the area’s premier training institution, Automotive Training Center (ATC). ATC has campuses in Exton, Chester County and Warminster, Bucks County (a branch of ATC Exton, PA).

ATC has won numerous awards over the years. Recently, ATC’s Exton and Warminster campuses respectively received the 2007-2008 “School of Merit” and “School of Distinction” awards issued by the Accrediting Commission of Career School and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). In 2006 and in 1999, the school was the National Winner of the “Award for Excellence in Automotive Training” sponsored by the Automotive Industry Planning Council (AIPC) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). In 2005, the school was the National Runner Up and placed first in the Pennsylvania State Competition in 1998, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
ATC’s programs are 15 to 19 months long. Students are encouraged to work part time at one of the 250 ADAGP member dealerships. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from technicians that are already in the workforce as well as forge relationships with potential future employers all while completing your education.

In today’s world, automobile computers and electronics are as important as engines and transmissions. Today’s top diagnostic technicians typically specialize in working with Scan Tools, Lab Scopes, PDAs, and Lap Top Computers. ATC is committed to providing a comprehensive automotive computer and electronic diagnostic curriculum. Automotive graduates can become not only ASE Master Techs, but will be equipped with Service Technician Specialty Training (STST) credentials issued by Ford Motor Company. Collision graduates will be awarded 30 I-CAR Gold Class points.
